Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Ending a 39-year Stanley Cup drought, the Boston Bruins slipped past the Vancouver Canucks in seven games during the 2011 Finals, with Tim Thomas awarded the Conn Smythe for his playoff performance. Celebrating that victory, we have a 2011 Stanley Cup Finals banner, along with a second generic Stanley Cup banner that most likely originates from circa-2000. With each at 32” x 60” give or take, the 2011 vinyl banner is one-sided, with an image of the Stanley Cup and “2011”, along with Bruins and Canucks emblems. Grommets have been added at each end to facilitate hanging, along with a strip of velcro along the top border. There are a few minor fold lines along with some light staining and blemishes. The generic Stanley Cup banner is plastic and vinyl and double-sided, with a beautiful image of Lord Stanley’s hardware, with an NHL shield logo beneath. There is some wear including fold lines, with some of the material along the sides fraying. A COA from the NHL will accompany the 2011 banner.
