Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Choosing to play professionally for his last season before he was eligible for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Auston Matthews spent 2015-16 in Europe, dressing for 40 games (including playoffs) for Zurich ZSC of the Swiss-A league. The soon-to-be NHL rookie would net 46 points including 24 goals during that season. A label from Ochsner of Switzerland with “XL-S” sizing is affixed to the collar, with the light garment measuring-out to roughly a large size 60. Featuring a V-neck collar and attractive Lions team crest with embroidered detailing, a plethora of advertising covers the jersey both front and back, with all graphics sublimated, including “Matthews” and “34” over the verso. The 2016 first-overall pick has signed the black canvas fight strap in white, adding his number, with the team patch placed adjacently, with the serial number of “3402BU” matching the accompanying COA from the Lions hockey team.
The jersey remains in beautiful condition, ideal for display, with the game-use limited to a few scuff and stick marks over the lower left front, with additional faint marks over the lower right reverse and upper left sleeve.
