Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
Climbing to an impressive first-place overall finish at the conclusion of the 1938-39 NHL regular season, the Boston Bruins would take out the Rangers in the playoffs before meeting the Leafs in the Stanley Cup finals. Only five games would be required, with the Beantowner’s hoisting their second Cup in franchise history. This composite photo and facsimile autographed tribute display of the 1938-39 Stanley Cup champion Bruins is presented in a 13 ½” x 20” wood frame that features a listing of the season standings and playoff scores. Team stars Milt Schmidt and Woody Dumart are present along with fellow HOFers Brimsek, Shore, Clapper, Weiland, Cowley, Dumart, Schmidt and Bobby Bauer. Originally part of the Milt Schmidt collection and obtained directly from his family, the photo exhibits just light wear and toning, with some minor wear to the frame.
