Always in demand, we have a collection of vintage Babe Ruth items totaling 18, with many ideal for display. Included, we have a 1934 Babe Ruth baseball club Quaker Oats pin (1” – wear over the reverse), a modern Fro-Joy Ice Cream reproduction 6-card set (low-to-mid-grade with corner, edge and surface wear), a modern Fro-Joy reproduction uncut card sheet (8” x 11 ¼” – with staining, corner wear, bends and creases), 1954 Topps Scoop #41 Babe Ruth card (low grade) and 1966 Comic Book Foldees Babe Ruth #12 cards (2 – both with light to moderate wear to the folds). This is followed by a full-page photo from a 1958 Police Gazette (10 ¼” x 13 ¼”), a 1928 "La Presse" picture (low grade, trimmed on all sides), a Guideposts booklet from 1948 with Ruth cover image (4 ½” x 6”), a poster for The Babe with John Goodman (1991 – 11” x 16 ½” with prominent fold line) and an additional 8 magazine/newspaper pieces.
The magazine pieces include a clipping of Ruth from an article about his death, a Baby Ruth gum ad, Chesterfield cigarette ads with William Bendix (2 – for The Babe Ruth Story) and a Wheaties ad. The majority of the advertisements display nicely, with light to moderate wear including toning and the odd fold/crease.
