Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
A product of Bowling Green, Brian McLellan spent a decade playing the highest caliber hockey in the NHL, with a Stanley Cup won with Calgary in 1989. From arguably his most productive season in 1986-87, one that witnessed 32 goals in 76 games, we have a North Stars jersey worn by the Guelph native. A label from Steichens graces the collar, with embroidered CCM and Steichens crests over the reverse bottom hem. Measuring-out to roughly a size 56, the jersey has been styled with an attractive and layered drop-shadow Stars team crest fully administered in tackle twill. The mesh V-neck has also been accented with matching drop-shadow sleeve and verso numbers, with “MacLellan” over the affixed nameplate in single white twill.
A few faint stick marks are visible over the team crest, with blue paint transfer over the front band and red over the reverse neckline. There are also 3 team repairs over the lower front, burns over the left sleeve and some light pilling in spots, including the inner collar. We should also mention that the areas of white material exhibit a very light green hue, with this resulting from multiple washes.
