Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

Cool piece of Montreal Canadiens history is 11-time Stanley Cup champion Henri Richard’s circa 1972-73 signed Louisville Slugger game-used stick. The Pocket Rocket stands alone in NHL history with the most Stanley Cup wins of any player, with his 11th and ultimate title coming as Habs captain in the spring of 1973. Henri placed a blue ballpoint autograph on the shaft of his game-used stick from that era that has his original tape jobs on the blade and knob and his number “16” handwritten high on the shaft above his signature. “Richard” is factory printed low on both sides of the shaft just above the one remaining band of black accent striped tape, which hangs loose. Solid and crack-free with nice game use.
Game use shows in a bit of red goalpost paint transfer on the blade near the heel and high on the shaft, black marks on the blade and low on the shaft, and nice wear to the bottom edge of the tape job on the blade. The outline of the other missing set of accent stripes sits higher up the shaft.
