Rochester Americans coach Joe Crozier won his third AHL title in four seasons when the 1967-68 Amerks claimed the Calder Cup with a squad boasting the likes of Don Cherry, Bryan Hextall Jr., J.P. Parise and Bronco Horvath. Recently obtained from the son of Joe and Marjorie Crozier, this 10-karat gold Calder Cup championship ring weighs approximately 17 grams and comes with a copy of the letter of provenance. “Calder Cup Champions” is spelled out on the bezel encircling the tableau, which features three zirconias set amid a pair of crossed hockey sticks. "John Roberts 10K" is stamped inside the size eight band along with the stamped initials "MC" for Joe’s wife, Marjorie Crozier.
Joe Crozier said the team had championship women’s rings done up and presented them to the players’ wives and girlfriends after the 1967-68 Americans defeated the Quebec Aces in the Calder Cup finals. “Rochester” is spelled out across the top of the left shank above the Americans logo. The right shank displays “1968” across the top above an image of the Calder Cup. The ring displays nice sharp details despite obviously proud wear that includes scratches and scuffs to the band.
