Produced for the Canadian market and comprising 180 cards is the Willard's Chocolates issue of 1923, considered scarce, with the sepia-tone pictures appearing on blank-backed unnumbered cards measuring 2" by 3-1/4". Leading the lineup here are examples of Hall of Famers Harry Hooper (EX), John McGraw (VG-EX), Richard "Rube" Marquard (VG (OC)) and Zack Wheat (G), the latter card with soiling more apparent when viewing the reverse. There are then six cards in the VG-EX to VG-EX+ range; J.C. Bagby, David Bancroft (HOF), Charles Hollocher, Peter Kilduff, George Whitted and Ross Youngs (HOF). Another five are in the VG to VG+ realm; U.C. Faber, I.M. Griffin, William Killefer, Otto Miller and Henry Sallee. Low grade cards (P, F) feature F.T. Davis, Lee King, Ray Kolp, Henry Meyers, Robert O'Farrell and Joseph Rapp. Scarcity is confirmed by the PSA Population Report, with just some 700 cards total (all players combined) ever having been inspected and graded by the firm since its inception. The Willards Chocolates Company of Toronto inserted one card into packages of their products - sweet.
