Well over one thousand hockey cards to tell you about here, with 1976-77 and '77-78 O-Pee-Chee near sets the easiest place to start. Both groups are housed in nine-pocket pages, with the former 24 cards shy of completion, with Orr, the three checklists and rookie cards of Trottier and Williams among them. Pulled stars and random cards are EX-MT and better, with the team checklists marked. Sharp NM cards look to dominate the latter assembly, with 28 missing examples including Orr, Palmateer RC and two checklists. Meanwhile, loose batches of cards date back to '70-71, with 100-plus from that year including some star power (Howe, Hull, Plante, Hall), but condition on the low end and some cards looking like they were (unevenly) cut from un-cut sheets. Some (140) '71-72 OPCs are present (mostly G to VG, with a Marcel Dionne RC (F)) but no other big names, while over 120 from '72-73 also show similar handling/wear, with however two unmarked checklists, (#s 6 and 19 are VG+) and a dozen 3rd Series non-WHA cards notable. Among early-'70s inserts are a near set (23/24) of '71-72 booklets (VG) and 16 Team Canada cards from '72-73 (Dryden, Clarke, Henderson), averaging VG. An inkling of other '70s entries include 20 WHA cards from '75-76, while over 120 blue border cards from '79-80 include two Bobby Hulls and a few rookies, with overall condition a little better than the aforementioned. Also carrying some weight/value is a '70-71 Topps #3-Bobby Orr card graded NM-MT 8 (OC) by PSA, along with a recent jersey card (2002-03 Parkhurst Retro “Nicknames”) and a 2004-05 Legends Classics autographed card, both featuring Gump Worsley. Team sets of plastic “coins”, held in nifty plastic “shields”, picture Boston Bruins and New York Rangers players from the '66-67 season but were produced by Parkhurst in the 1990s.
