Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2018

Last in the title but first in the description is the important rookie card of Boston Bruin lifer and icon Milt Schmidt, with card #132 among the condition leaders of this intriguing group of oversized O-Pee-Chee cards, the 5" by 7" sepia images just five shy of being a complete set. We see the Schmidt as one of a ten crease-free EX examples, with other notables being 101-Toe Blake, 110-Drillon and 139-Kerr. There are then two dozen still mighty decent VG and VG+ representatives which have a small or subtle/light crease and/or light corner wear. Among them are 108-Broda, 118-Apps, 124-Jack Stewart RC, 136-L. Patrick, 146-Apps and 150-Goodman. Ten lesser lights include 116-Reardon RC (G), with most of the others displaying blemishes at two corners. It should also be noted that when the cards are in a stack, "red" is observed on the right edges, barely noticeable when inspecting individual cards. Duplicates tend to be in lesser condition, with 101-Blake (VG), 124-Stewart RC (G+), 146-Apps (G) and 150-Goodman (VG) mentionable. Required for completion are 113, 125-Lach RC, 130-Broda, 131-M. Bentley RC and 148.
