Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Current Stanley Cup champions, we have a pair of Pittsburgh Penguins jerseys, including an example worn by John Curry in 2008-09, along with a practice jersey donned by Miroslav Satan the same season. The Curry jersey has “Goalie Style” labeling with a size “58” CCM tag affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring the familiar Penguins team crest with embroidered detailing, the solid white v-neck has been embellished with oversized and textured double-twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Curry” across the affixed mesh nameplate in matching material. The team patch sits over the inside hem, beneath the Dana Heinz signed fight strap. Dark marks are present over the left sleeve, with some light staining over the reverse. The Satan jersey has a size “56” label along the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring a tackle twill team crest with embroidered detailing, “81” appears over the reverse in heat-pressed vinyl numbers, with “Satan” over the velcro nameplate in matching material. With a few marks present, burns are visible over the upper and lower right sleeve.
