Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
Gerry Teeples’ early-1970s Providence Reds game-worn jersey is a tie-neck durene knit style, similar to that worn by the AHL team’s parent club, the New York Rangers. Teeples was the regular season scoring leader of the 1972 Memorial Cup champion Cornwall Royals and one of the Reds’ top scorers in the early-to-mid-1970s. Gerry Cosby tagging in the back of the collar has a washing instructions label sewn beside it. Two tone tackle-twill number 11 is sewn on the back and both sleeves. The fight strap was cut out. There is a small team repair on the left front tail, a board burn with red paint transfer on the right rear hem and wear to the blue twill of the drop-shadow style numbers on the back.
The embroidered Reds team crest is sewn on the front and more game wear shows in various light marks on the front, back and both sleeves.
