Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
One of the modern NHL’s greatest careers when combining ability with longevity, Chris Chelios’ time in the dominant league was split evenly between Montreal, Detroit and Chicago, with his final 7 games played wearing the uniform of the Atlanta Thrashers. We have a stick used by the superstar defenceman during his time with Chicago, circa 1997-98. A Sher-Wood PMPX 9950 model with “Chris Chelios 7” factory graphics along with “Handcrafted exclusively for Chris Chelios” along the underside, the stick retains its original black tape over the blade and white over the knob. The NHL decal over the lower shaft is intact, with light but definite use visible on the stick including wear to the underside of the blade, along with marks to the lower shaft and wear to the factory graphics.
