Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
A two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Big, Bad Bruins of the early-1970s, Hall of Fame goalie Gerry Cheevers was one of the biggest names among the few NHL stars who jumped leagues to play in the World Hockey Association. Cheesy’s circa-1972-74 WHA Cleveland Crusaders Northland game-used stick with “Cheevers” stamped on the shaft has his original white tape jobs on the blade and upper paddle. His black tape wrap remains on the upper shaft, which has “Larson Industries” stamps on both sides, though the wide “donut” knob is gone. “0605” stamped on the back of the shaft is likely the pattern number. A neat addition to your HOF/goalie stick collection!
There are a couple of areas with reddish stains on the upper shaft, the top one of which has what may have been notations that are no longer legible.
