Selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, Ed Olczyk enjoyed a lengthy career appearing for a number of NHL clubs. The Chicago native also won a Stanley Cup as a member of the New York Rangers in 1994. We have a contract for Olczyk that covers the 1987-88 season through 1989-90. A Standard Player’s Contract, a salary of $450,000 is listed with an attached addendum that lists a number of additional bonuses for goals scored and team placement. Olczyk has signed in ballpoint along with deceased HOFer and Hawks President William Wirtz, with a stamp for NHL President John Ziegler. The signatures all display well with no loss or fading, with just regular expected wear including fold lines and light toning for the document itself. Olczyk was traded to the Maple Leafs on Sept. 3rd 1987, and as per the contract addendum, he signed this contract on June 29th 1987 prior to his trade.
