Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Popular design keeps O-Pee-Chee’s 1971-72 hockey card effort a hobby favorite, with this ensemble featuring and looking to be dominated by crease-free EX, EX+, EX-MT and NM examples. The key and star cards however tend to be in lesser condition, starting with the Ken Dryden rookie. A heavy side-to-side crease, another smaller light vertical wrinkle and corner/edge wear send it to G at best, with three small light creases rendering the Guy Lafleur rookie card VG. The off-centered Marcel Dionne RC is otherwise VG+. The regular Orr card, along with the special Howe and Beliveau collector’s cards are VG, with the #111 checklist marked and hammered. Better are 245-Orr Double Trophy (EX-MT (OC)) and an unmarked crease-free #264 checklist (EX). A duplicate 2nd Series Checklist is also unmarked but creased and G.
