Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
What do you buy for the Bobby Orr collector that has almost everything? We may have the answer, with a neat lot of items that aren’t always on the radar of the average accumulator. Included, we have a rarely seen high-grade unopened American Publishing puzzle from 1972, a scarce 5 ¼” Italian tray with facsimile signature, a vintage Bobby Orr 650 fishing reel with contemporary fishing rod and a pair of plastic lunchboxes, with each containing the thermos. The puzzle tin features a clean label, while the Italian tray exhibits just some light surface wear with the black finish worn along the bottom edge. The fishing reel shows moderate to heavy wear from use, with the Orr facsimile signature displaying well. Both lunchboxes were produced by Aladdin, with one example featuring an Orr decal along the front (somewhat loose), while the other features a full cartoon hockey scene with facsimile signature. Each lunchbox also exhibits moderate wear, with some dirt staining present, with both in need of a good cleaning. Both thermoses appear identical, with one example having considerably more wear to the graphics along with a missing black lid.
