This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
Enjoying a pre-NHL existence in both the PCHL (1945-52) and WHL (1952-70), the Vancouver Canucks joined the world’s fastest league as an expansion club in 1970 along with Buffalo, with three attempts made thus far to acquire Lord Stanley’s hardware. We have a great collection of Canucks memorabilia from both the pre and post NHL days, including programs, team member pictures and pucks. Hailing from the pre NHL days, we have Canucks programs from 1957-58 (just the center line-up), 1958-59, 1959-60, 1962-63, 1963-64, 1964-65 (3), 1965-66 (5), 1966-67 and 1967-68 (3), this is followed by 11 NHL programs from the 1970s. There are over 60 “Player of the Week” pictures from a number of years including 13 from 1975-76, 9 from 1976-77, 9 from 1977-78, 7 from 1979-80 and others, with Vancouver decal pucks with facsimile team signatures for 1971-72, 1974-75, 1976-77, 1980-81, 1982-83 (2), 1988-89, 1990-91 and 1992-94, with 6 additional Canucks pucks. Other items within the collection include a framed (9” x 12”) team picture of the 1962-63 Canucks, a 1982 Stanley Cup finals pennant (30” with pinholes and heavy staining and toning), a 1975-76 Canucks player album and a 1965 Finland vs Canada program (in Vancouver). The programs range in condition with the majority in mid-grade or better, with some of the “Player of the Week” pictures having moderate wear including spotting. The pucks also range in condition, with the majority just exhibiting mild to moderate wear.
