Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
On top of the hockey world as the league’s most dominant goaltender in the mid-1970s, Bernie Parent completed two unbelievable back-to-back-seasons in 1973-74 and 1974-75, winning the Vezina and Conn Smythe along with the Stanley Cup in each year! We have a signed stick used by the HOFer during this era, in the mid-1970s. A Sher-Wood PMP Goal model, “Parent B.” and “1” are stamped-on, with the stick retaining its original white tape over the blade, paddle and knob, with black tape later added over the heel section to rectify a crack/separation. Bernie has signed across the front side of the blade in black marker, with the signature considerably light.
Great use is exhibited on the lumber, with numerous puck marks across the front side of the blade, along with the aforementioned crack that continues completely through the blade to the toe section. Additional marks are present over the paddle, with part of the lower striping accent intact, with considerable red goal post paint transfer over one side of the upper shaft.
