Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
A valuable member of the American squad that was victorious at the inaugural World Cup of Hockey in 1996, defenceman Gary Suter represented the US on numerous international occasions, also claiming a silver medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics. We have a signed Team USA jersey that was worn by the Wisconsin native at the 1987 Canada Cup. A CCM label remains affixed to the collar, with a second CCM crest over the reverse bottom hem with trademark “R”. Styled with an attractive red, white and blue USA team crest with embroidered detailing, the blue V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Suter” across the nameplate in matching material.
Marks are present over the front and sleeves, with faint board burns over each sleeve along with some light paint transfer near the left elbow. Suter has signed within the top of the reverse “2”, and the signature displays well, with just minimal bleeding.
