Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/19/2018
A great collection of game-used lumber is available for your consideration, with 8 bats including 6 used by Montreal Expos. We have Rawlings examples used by Lenny Webster (34 ½”), Bob Henley (34”), Moises Alou (34”) and Mark Grudzielanek (34”), along with a KC Slammer used by David Segui (34 ½”) and a Cooper bat used by Cliff Floyd (35”). The remaining 2 bats include a Louisville Slugger used by Gregg Zaun (34” Orioles) and a Rawlings bat used by Manny Alexander (33” Mets). Each bat has both model numbers along with handwritten uniform numbers over the knobs (except the Zaun bat), with most also utilizing either tape or pine tar/Mota stick over the handle. The Grudzielanek, Henley, Alexander and Webster bats also have handwritten notations over the knobs, with the majority of the bats exhibiting nice use (Grudzielanek – cracked handle, glue repair / Henley – cracked and repaired / Alou, Floyd, Zaun, Webster and Alexander – dead wood). We should also not that the Segui bat has been signed over the barrel.
