Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
It’s no surprise that Wayne Gretzky sits atop Team Canada’s list for all-time leading scorer, with the legend first donning the sacred maple leaf at the 1978 World Junior Championships in Montreal while still 16. We have a limited-edition (52/500) signed and framed photo picturing Gretzky during the 1991 Canada Cup. At 16” x 20”, the photo exhibits gorgeous clarity, with subtle details easily recognizable including the stitching on Wayne’s gloves. A plaque has been inserted along the base listing the particulars, with Gretzky adding a large and flowing blue sharpie signature along the bottom right. Double matted and framed to full dimensions of 20 ¼” x 24 ¼”, a sticker from JSA numbered “T13060” has been affixed to the lower left, with a Basic Cert to accompany along with an additional COA that’s mounted to the frame’s reverse.
The photo and signature appear flawless, with just some light wear to the frame itself.
