Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
This leather-bound three-volume set of “The Trail of the Stanley Cup” was presented to longtime Montreal Canadiens and St. Louis Blues executive Ron “The Prof” Caron. Author Charles Coleman produced the definitive history of hockey and Lord Stanley's trophy from 1893 to 1967. Only 1,000 copies of this special edition of the first two books were presented to important hockey figures; the third was limited to 1,500 books. The books in this complete set are individually numbered: Volume 1 is no. 836, Vol. 2 is no. 864, with a “Ronald Caron” presentation bookplate, and Vol. 3 is no. 864. Comes with an LOA from the family of Ron "Prof” Caron.
Each of these three books has been wonderfully preserved with pages that have not seen much handling, if any.
