This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/6/2018
An absolute legend in the city of St Louis, Jack Buck entertained baseball fans for over 30 years as the Cardinals lead play-by-play man. The Holyoke native was also a renowned football broadcaster, calling a number of famous matches including the 1962 AFL Championship game and Super Bowl IV. With his work honoured by the baseball, football and broadcasting Hall’s of Fame, we are also honoured to offer a pair of signed displays that feature Jack’s poetry. At approx. 19” x 28”, the first framed display contains three poems, with images of the poet along with “Jack Buck’s America” across the base. The second framed display is roughly 24 ¼” x 30 ¼”, with a bronze bust of Buck pictured along with his work “365”. Each display has been signed in black marker, with no issues for the signatures. Hailing from the collection of former assistant general manager of the Montreal Canadiens and general manager of the St Louis Blues Ron Caron, LOAs from JSA will accompany for each display.
