Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017

Certainly handled but certainly not abused are the vast majority of these 1954-55 Topps cards, with the bursting colors of this issue always a treat. Not many unsightly creases jump out at the beholder, with VG+ and VG-EX cards dominating, but with some making it to EX and EX+ and others only VG or lower. The key Gordie Howe card, although VG in appearance with surface scratches and peripheral wear, is technically low grade due to a small something-or-other stuck on the reverse where a touch of paper loss is detected. Other keys also have issues, with Terry Sawchuk (crease, light warping), Gump Worsley (stain, small crease, toning), 18-Mohns RC and 60-Schmidt all G. Notables at EX or a tad better are Hall of Famers Gadsby, Pronovost, Stanley and Lindsay, along with 32-Henry RC. Missing to complete things are 39-Delvecchio and 55-Popein, with the lowdown on 16 duplicates, including 1-Gamble, available on our website.
Both Gambles are VG, with other doubles in the VG-VG+-VG-EX range and including #s 12, 13, 19, 20-Gadsby, 21, 23, 30, 33, 34, 36, 37-Jim Henry, 40, 41-Stanley, 46 and 50.
