Gary Suter’s 1991 Canada Cup Team USA game-worn jersey is photo-matched to three digital photos of action against Team Canada during the tournament. The board burn with yellow paint transfer above “22” on the right sleeve shows in two digital photos, one of Sutter with Canada’s Rick Tocchet, and another with Wayne Gretzky, who was knocked out of the 1991 Canada Cup final on a hit by Suter. The black mark in the middle of the white stripe on the front tail provides a photo-match to another shot of Sutter and Tocchet. More game wear includes marks on the embroidered USA crest sewn on the front, black marks on both sleeves, and board burns with red paints transfer and unrepaired burn holes on the left sleeve.
Maska and size 52 flag tags sit in the back of the neck. The CCM logo is embroidered on the right rear tail, and Lettering by Custom Crafted is heat-screened in white vinyl inside the rear hem. More game wear includes black marks on the left rear tail and blue paint transfer marks on the bottom of the “2” on the back.
According to our consignor, this Sutter 1991 Canada Cup Team USA game-worn jersey is also video-matched to the mark above the right sleeve number 30:57 into the Finland game, and also in the Canada game where the Suter/Gretzky incident occurs 1:15:52 in and matched to the mark above the right sleeve number at 1:20:30 and 2:31:28.
