Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2018
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/27/2018
From iconic netminder and HOFer Patrick Roy, we have a stick used in the early-2000s when St. Patrick was getting it done with the Colorado Avalanche, with this type of model used in the 2001 Stanley Cup championship season. With “P. Roy” appearing on the shaft, this Koho 500 gamer features Patrick's original black over white tape on the handle and knob and white tape over the blade, with an “X” handwritten most likely to denote discontinued use. Nice game-wear is exhibited with heavy wear to the blade including a chipped toe, with some red paint transfer along the lower edge of the paddle. Roy has added a black marker signature across the front side of the paddle including his number, and the signature displays well despite being light in a few spots.
