Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
The ultimate captain, Detroit Red Wings great Steve Yzerman had brought the Stanley Cup back to Hockeytown when he used this circa-1999 Easton two-piece stick. Stevie Y’s orginal tape jobs remain on the Easton wood blade insert with “Yzerman” stamped on it and on the knob of the Easton T-Flex graphite shaft. Yzerman’s No. 19 is handwritten in black marker on the front of the bottom of the knob’s outer wrap of nicely worn red gauze tape. Some nice wear to the bottom edge of the tape job on the blade, which has a few nicks and light cracks to the upper edge of the heel. A fantastic piece from a three-time Stanley Cup champion who racked up an incredible 1,755 points!
