Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/7/2017
Originating from his last NHL season in 1939-40 when he appeared in his final 10 games for the soon-to-fold New York Americans, we have an Eddie Shore Tip Top Bread pin, along with a circa late-1940s vending charm featuring Marty Barry/Ted Lindsay (image is not Barry). The 1 ½” Shore pin hails from a series of 3 that also includes Joe DiMaggio and boxer Billy Conn, and it features a clean surface with just light wear, minus the crazing that is usually found on surviving specimens. The pin is still firmly in place, with some minor discolouration in spots along the reverse. The plastic ½” charm/pendant is solid with the hanging loop intact, with just minor wear to the cardboard inserts of Barry and Lindsay.
