Calgary Flames captain Jarome Iginla carried the momentum of 50 goals and a career-high 98 points in the 2007-08 regular season into the playoffs with nine points in a tough first-round loss to San Jose. Iginla’s game-worn Flames captain’s jersey is photo-matched to Game 7 on April 22, 2008 when he scored his fourth goal of the series in a 5-3 loss to the Sharks at HP Pavillion. Three Getty Images photos from Game 7 show the black mark in the middle of the Flaming C crest on the front and the big black marks below it. Size 58+ flag tag is in the back of the neck and MeiGray patch sewn inside the rear tail has a registry number that corresponds to the one on the accompanying Flames LOA.
More game wear includes a team repair on the lower left sleeve, blue paint transfer marks on the front of the left shoulder, red paint transfer marks on the upper right sleeve, black marks to the left of the nameplate and on the left shoulder, both sleeves and lower front tail, with a few light black marks on the rear tail. There is a long loose white thread from pulled stitching on the back of the right sleeve.
MeiGray NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2007-2008 Season patch sewn inside the rear tail has registry No. E 04412, which corresponds to the LOA signed by Flames president Ken King and MeiGray Group president Barry Meisel.
Photo matches are from Getty Images #80826925, #80827404 and #80861479.
