Hailing from the 2004 NHL All-Star Game, we have a Western Conference jersey worn by netminder Marty Turco during the first period, and it’s been signed. “Goalie Style” size tagging is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and NHLPA crests on the back bottom hem. “Western” appears in felt letters placed diagonally across the chest, with an NHL shield crest residing above the left breast. Accented with tackle twill numbers, the tie-neck garment also sports 10 felt stars, split evenly between the front and back lower band. The important 2004 All-Star Game patch is situated over the right shoulder, while a Stars team crest is situated over the left. A MeiGray patch numbered “B11823” sits on the inside hem, and according to their population report, the jersey is a "Western Conference All-Star - Worn During The 1st Period - Retained By NHL" example.
Visible game-wear is light, with just a few small noticeable spots of paint transfer. Turco has signed the reverse 5 in marker adding his number, and the signature displays well.
The first NHL All-Star Game to take place in Minnesota since 1972, the 2004 installment of the popular NHL showcase took place in St. Paul, with the Western Conference battling the Eastern in front of just under 20,000 jubilant fans.
