Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/8/2017
Featuring the current Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins, we have a pair of rookie camp jerseys, including an example worn by Nick Johnson in 2009-10, along with a jersey worn by Keven Veilleux in 2011-12. A stylistically-matched pair, size tagging from CCM sits affixed to the collars (size 58-Veilleux and size 56-Johnson), with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests gracing the front and back necklines respectively. Featuring large and partially embroidered Penguins team crests, the V-neck sweaters have been accented with textured tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching-style letters over the nameplates. The team patches are located on the inside hem, and they divulge the Johnson jersey as a “2009 Rookie Camp Set” example, while the team patch on the Veilleux jersey states “2011 Official Rookie Tournament Jersey”. Equipment manager Dana Heinze has signed the fight strap of the Johnson jersey, while the Veilleux example features a signature on the fight strap from an unknown individual. Game-wear on the pair is light, with a large fabric pull on the right sleeve of the Veilleux jersey, along with small board burns over the right shoulders on both jerseys. An LOA from the Penguins organization will accompany each jersey.
