Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016

Dennis Hextall’s 1973-74 Minnesota North Stars game-worn jersey is photo-matched to a mark on the team crest on the front. The son of HOFer Bryan Hextall, Dennis set a North Stars record with 62 assists in 1973-74, and his 82 points tied his team record set the previous season. This classic North Stars road gamer has its Steichen tagging in the collar, Rawlings size 48 tagging is in the hem, and the canvas fight strap loop remains inside the back. There is evidence of a former nameplate, most likely a TV nameplate, typical of that era. Four digital images of Hextall wearing this jersey show the now-washed-out large scrape/mark in the upper portion on the middle bar of the “N” in the team logo. There are three team repairs on the left sleeve and another small sewing fix on the right sleeve.
More game wear shows in board burns on the tails and sleeves, black marks and a bit of red paint transfer on the left sleeve, and pilling inside the jersey. Tiny reddish-brown spot stains dot the white band all over the front and back tails.
