A recent Philadelphia Flyers’ Hall of Fame inductee, defenceman Jim Watson spent a decade with the club, winning back to back Stanley Cups in 1974 and ’75. This Clarence Campbell Bowl was presented to the British Columbia native for the Flyers status as Western Division Champions in 1973-74. Standing 11” in height, a miniature plated Campbell trophy sits atop a finished 3” hexagonal wooden base. With chased features on the lid and bottom, engraved text proclaims “Philadelphia Flyers 1973-74 Jim Watson”, while the reverse has “Clarence S. Campbell Bowl 1968”. A signed LOA from Mr. Watson will accompany.
The trophy remains in excellent condition with moderate tarnishing over and around the text on the front and verso. There is also some surface loss to the handles along with the base being slightly loose. We should also note that the once removable lid has been glued shut.
