Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction October 2016

The only player that ever surfaced to challenge Wayne Gretzky’s utter dominance, one could speculate the career Mario Lemieux could have enjoyed if it wasn’t for injuries and health problems. This stick was used by Lemieux during the mid-1990s. A preferred KOHO Revolution model, “Lemieux” is stamped onto the upper shaft, with the stick retaining its original tape on the handle and knob. With just light but definite use showing, the stick remains in gorgeous condition. The tape has been removed from the blade so that Mario could add a nice and flowing black marker signature to the front side, and it displays well. Lemieux would average over 2 points-per-game from 1991-1997.
