Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/15/2016
Arguably the most beloved Montreal Canadien of all-time, Maurice Richard received what’s been called the longest standing ovation in Montreal history when he was introduced during the last game at the Montreal Forum in 1996. This beautiful photo of The Rocket has been signed by the French-Canadian legend. At 16” x 20”, the black and white image pictures Richard in the late-1950s hugging the Cup after yet another Championship. Signed in silver marker by Maurice to the left of his image, the photo has been matted and framed to total dimensions of 24 ¾” x 28”. In gorgeous overall condition, the frame does exhibit some wear, with a few nicks and dings present. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
