Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction June 2017
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2017
Guy Lafleur garnered the prestigious Art Ross Trophy recording 132 points on 60 goals and 72 assists during the 1977-78 season. The Art Ross Memorial Trophy is given to the National Hockey League player with the most points scored at the end of the regular season. This is Guy's personal vintage plaque, presented to him at the annual NHL Awards ceremony in 1978. A silver miniature of the trophy rises from the center surrounded by the NHL shield and two sets of silver sticks and black enameled pucks. The silver plate below reads "The Art Ross Trophy - Winner 1977-78, Guy Lafleur, Montreal Canadiens". The plaque measures approximately 10" x 12" and exhibits heavy wear to the finish of the metal components, along with a few scratches to the name plaque. Lafleur has signed the reverse in black marker, and the signature is flawless. An LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
