Brett Hull’s season for the ages with the Blues in 1990-91 was recognized by his peers. This is the personal Lester B. Pearson Award that was presented to the Golden Brett as the National Hockey League’s most outstanding player in a vote of his fellow members of the NHL Players’ Association. Teaming up with fellow HOFer Adam Oates, Hull improved on the 72 goals he scored the previous season to finish with 86, the third-highest single season total in NHL history. Very heavy and rarely seen trophy measures approximately 7" x 6" and stands 10" tall with the figure of a hockey player encased in Lucite atop an aluminum base. The name of the award and "Brett Hull St. Louis Blues 1990/91" are engraved on the base with an enameled NHLPA logo to the right. Comes with Brett Hull's signed LOA.
Hull, who had a career-high 131 points, also won the Hart Trophy and was named to the NHL First All-Star Team. His 86 goals in 1990-91 remain the third-highest single season total in NHL history, behind only Wayne Gretzky, who scored a league-record 92 goals in 1981-82, and 87 in 1983-84.
