Gorgeous limited-edition plates from “The Canadian Dream” series featuring loving and affectionate scenes from the great game, created by artist Joan Healey, and all measuring 8” in diameter, complete with protective boxes. Plate number one, from 1983, is entitled “Going to the Rink” and was the first in an annual limited-edition series by Healey. It’s the image of a boy wearing an Oilers jersey, walking a rural winter road with stick, gloves and skates. The plate is numbered as 1635 of 7500, and is signed on the back in gold marker by the artist as “Enjoy, Best Wishes, Joan Healey”. The second plate, from 1984, is entitled “Lacing Up” and features a boy wearing a #10 Habs jersey lacing his skates up to head to the outdoor rink. The plate is numbered as 4538 of 7500. The third plate, from 1985, is called “Faceoff”, and shows a young boy in a Leafs uniform on an outdoor rink, going for the puck as two kids peer over the boards. This limited-edition plate is numbered as 476 of 7500. Plate number four, from 1986, is titled “The Winning Goal”, is numbered as 3020 of 7500 and features a young boy wearing a Team Canada jersey celebrating his goal (in an empty net). Four heartwarming winter hockey scenes on limited-edition plates.
NHL All-Star material includes four bobble heads as well. Featured are three All-Star VIP Seating tickets from 1996, 1998 and 1999 all housed in thick 3 ½” x 8” Lucite holders, including a larger fourth ticket from 1994 sealed in a 5” x 10” holder. Next we have an 8” x 10” frame which holds a 1985 All-Star Game ticket, a 1985 luncheon pass for the event and a 1985 NHL Entry Draft ticket. The bobble heads included in this lot total four from the “Let’s Play Hockey” series with one from 2006, a goalie from 2008, and a pair from 2010, all in excellent condition. Rounding out the lot we have a commemorative coin from 2003 for the 10th anniversary of the Hall of Fame at BCE Place in its original case, and a bottle opener also unused in it’s original packaging.
Assortment of 17 N.H.L. All-Star Game hats from over the years, with signatures on a couple and with all hats having nice embroidered logos on the front from their particular years. Going down the list, we have All-Star hats from ’92 in Philadelphia (signed by Kirk Muller), ’93 Montreal, 3 from ’94 NYC (2 different styles), ’96 Boston, 3 from ’98 in Vancouver (2 styles), ’99 Tampa Bay, 2000 Toronto, 2001 Colorado, 2002 L.A. (2 styles), and 2 from ’97 San Jose, with the bill of one filled with signatures signed in fine white pen but have some fading to note. We also have a hat with the embroidered “NHL” logo on front with 5 individual stars, with “1st All-Star Game” embroidered on the back. None of these great hats appear to have ever been worn with the possible exception of the last one mentioned.
Assortment of 37 hats from the hockey world, including ECHL All-Star Game hats from 2004 in Peoria and 2005 in Reading, and 4 from A.H.L. games held in 1995 in Providence (2 different styles), 1996 in Hersey, and 1998 in Syracuse. There’s also a cool Memorial Cup cap (date unknown), 2 “NHL Game ON” hats, an “NHL on Fox” hat, a San Jose Sharks, 4 from Finland, 1 each from Riga, the Czech Republic, Germany, IIHF, Sweden (with horns!), Russia, and a variety of others including a Toronto Argos hat and a great old-style football-type deal, plus a Miami Dolphins hat and a Russian hat in the style of ancient warrior apparel. All hats, with the exception of a white Hockey Canada one, appear to have never been worn.
