Intriguing image here of Renfrew’s Bobby Rowe is on Sweet Caporal postcard #23 in the to-die-for and rare "Prominent Canadian Hockey Players" set, a 45-card affair which is the envy of all astute hobbyists. Standing just 5'6" and nicknamed "Stubby", Rowe scored 11 goals in 16 games for Renfrew during the 1910-11 season and then went west where he starred for Victoria and Seattle for a combined 13 seasons. A five-time PCHA all-star, Rowe helped the Metropolitans to the Stanley Cup in 1916-17. Edge/corner wear and very minor paper loss lowers the PSA grade to Good 2, but the splendid eye appeal is still right up there. Only three other Rowe examples have ever been submitted to PSA.
