Currently the President of Business Operations for the Los Angeles Kings, Luc Robitaille spent 19 seasons in the NHL, including a pair with Detroit where he was a Stanley Cup Champion in 2002. This Detroit Red Wings jersey was worn by Robitaille in 2002-03, and it’s been photo-matched. With size 54 tagging affixed to the collar, there is also NHL and KOHO patches on the lower hem and back neckline. Styled with attractive tackle twill numbers and letters, this “1st Set” garment has the back name sewn directly onto the jersey. The rubberized team patch sits on the inside hem, and the original team-store price tag remains attached. With a gorgeous team crest, we should mention that it exhibits slight puckering.
Game-use includes dark marks present, with a few large stick marks on the lower left front, along with a few small board burns. As mentioned, this garment has been photo-matched. Getty image #52423123 from the 2003 season has been matched to the long loose thread on the bottom of the team crest, and to the small loose thread on the top section of the “2” on the left sleeve. The long loose thread on the bottom of the team crest also shows on Getty image #52423184. We should also note that there is a screened-on “1” on the collar, along with a second red “1” on the hem, next to the team stamp. There is also a biblical quote attached directly over the fight strap from Acts 19:12.
