One for the ages was the highly-publicized and anticipated Canadiens’ Centennial Game, played December 4th, 2009, with the storied franchise celebrating its 100th anniversary in grand style. This puck was used in the Canadiens Centennial Game. Light scuffs/scratches indeed indicate game use, with “Sher-Wood – Official – Made in Canada” on the side. A game puck lover’s dream, there is a hologram affixed numbered GU04509, and a matching COA from the Canadiens organization will accompany.
The presentation of dozens of past greats before the game against the longtime rival Bruins made for ceremonies which Habs’ faithful will not soon forget. Once play got underway, Montreal players were of course pumped, with Michael Cammalleri pumping-in three second period goals which led to a 5-1 triumph. Referee Stephane Auger worked the game with Bill McCreary.
