Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Housed in an elegant shadow box, the mounted puck advertises its importance with a piece of affixed tape stating “448”. A second section of tape remains wrapped around the puck listing its pertinent details, along with a silver coloured plaque situated in the bottom right section. A photo of Ed holding the puck is double-matted, and the piece has been framed to total dimensions of 18 ½” x 18 ½”. From the personal collection of Ed Belfour, a signed LOA from Ed will accompany this historic piece.
It was on December 19th 2005 that Ed recorded his 448th NHL win which moved him, at the time, in second place for wins all-time in the NHL. Ed currently sits in third place for wins all-time in the NHL, in his rightful place with the greatest goalies of the game. The puck has been matched using the photo of Ed in the display, to two marks that can be seen on the middle section of the puck. The shadow box remains in gorgeous condition, with no issues whatsoever to note.
