Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
A Canadian icon, Maple Leafs Gardens was not only the long-time home of the Leafs, but a venue for junior hockey as well as figure skating, travelling circuses, and much more. This lot contains 19 MLG programs spanning just over a ten-year period from the late-1930s to late-1940s. Included are examples for the NHL, OHA, Ice Capades and even an intra-squad Leafs game. Most of the programs are in very good condition with expected wear, but a few examples are low grade, with creased and worn covers, including a couple that have become detached. There are also three examples that have the center line-up pages missing, and as such, are indistinguishable as to their origin.
Included in this neat grouping are Leafs programs for 1938, 1945 (2), 1946, 1947 (2), three possible Leafs programs with no line-up pages for 1938, 1943 and 1947, a late-1930’s Leafs intra-squad example, seven different OHA programs including an Allan Cup program and 2 for the Memorial Cup, and lastly, 2 Ice Capades examples from 1946.
