Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016

Circa-1960 Toronto Maple Leafs game-worn wool jersey features team repairs and a bit of travel under its belt. It was obtained from a collector in Saskatchewan and we believe it is possible that it had been recycled and possibly worn by minor league teams on the Canadian prairies. This Leafs game-worn jersey style with the twill Leafs crest on the front leads us to believe that it saw duty in Toronto between 1958 and 1963 and our research shows that the now-removed number 11, which is outlined on the back, was worn by Rudy Migan, Gerry James and Bob Nevin during that period. The right sleeve is cut off just above where the lower blue stripe was and there are various team repairs along with unrepaired holes throughout. There are also signs that another crest might have been on the front at one point.
