Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction February 2016
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/23/2016
Notable for the game six overtime goal scored by Bobby Baun on a broken leg, the 1964 Stanley Cup win by Toronto was their third cup in a row, before they last hoisted the cup in 1967. This matted and framed Leafs jersey celebrates that victory with “Stanley Cup” nameplate and “64” sleeve and back numbers. Hand numbered 17/64, a plaque below lists all 11 signers including Bower, Kelly, Mahovlich and Andy Bathgate, while a photo above features the Leafs surrounding the cup. Framed to dimensions of 41” x 43”, a hologram from AJ Sportsworld has been affixed near the signatures, and a matching COA will come with this beautiful large display piece.
In beautiful condition with no issues to mention, the remaining Leafs that have also signed in silver sharpie on the back numbers of this 1964 tribute jersey are Shack, Baun, Pappin, Pulford, Stewart, McKenny and Larry Hillman.
