Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2015
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/3/2015
Oftentimes over-used by numerous hobbyists, the “rare” word does indeed apply to this truly delectable trio. Seen by most as hockey’s all-time greatest player at the time, Gordie Howe graces the front of a Wheaties cereal box, while Frank Mahovlich’s image enhances a Cheerios front panel and Bobby Rousseau promotes the pictures on the backs of the boxes on a Country Corn Flakes panel. The fabulous finds measure 7-1/2” by 10-3/4” and have survived in attractive condition. Creasing and notable wear is inexistent on the Wheaties/Howe and Country Corn Flakes/Rousseau pieces, while light scratches/scuffs do little to detract from the Cheerios/Mahovlich panel. Tasty, tasty display pieces are the likes of which will have the mouths of several hobby kingpins watering.
