The summer of 1968 saw the old Montreal Forum renovated and transformed into one of the more modern-looking arenas of the expansion era. Offered are 21 of the blueprints that were followed to make the transformation, all of which have a 1966 or 1968 date. They range in size from 11” x 16” up to 14 1/2" x 19” on transparent Mylar and acetate sheets, some of which have notations that indicate they were most likely worked with during the 1968 renovation. There are a dozen sheets that are dated 1966, and 9 sheets that are dated 1968, with fascinating before and after views of the Montreal Canadiens’ temple of hockey when it was revamped for the modern era. Amazing snapshots with incredible details about the Forum!
There are 12 blueprints for the old Montreal Forum, including longitudinal section A-A (2) (1966), elevations sheet 1 (1966), roof plan (1966), elevations sheet 2 (1966), existing seating plan (2) (1966), first (ground) floor plan (2), second floor plan, third floor plan, fourth floor plan at aisle D.
The 1968 blueprints include a first floor plan, second floor plan (2), third floor plan (2), fourth floor plan (2), mezzanine floor plan, and balcony floor plan.
