The red maple leaf in the middle of the Canadian flag displayed across the chin of Ed Belfour’s Warwick mask shows that the HOF goalie was all set to defend his country’s colors at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. A back injury unfortunately sidelined Eddie the Eagle from playing for Canada, which won the tournament, but this beauty that echoes the look of Belfour’s early masks with the Chicago Black Hawks was all set to do its part. “Custom Made for Ed Belfour for 2004 World Cup” is handwritten in silver paint pen inside the left ear and the back plate displays Ed’s No. 20 over a maple leaf, the Hockey Canada and World Cup of Hockey 2004 logos along with the “Lucky Loonie” Canadian dollar. Ed’s trademark eagles grace each side, with his customary “Make-a-Wish Foundation” design over the Canadian flag on the chin. Comes with its carrying bag and Ed Belfour’s signed LOA.
All of the interior padding is present including added velcro for the included cloth forehead accessory. “Ed Belfour” is handwritten in gold paint pen inside the right ear and Warwick Mask and Equipment and Daveart.com stickers remain inside the helmet.
