From his especially successful first NHL season of 1990-91, one that witnessed the future Hall of Fame netminder secure the Vezina Trophy along with the Calder Memorial as the NHL’s premier rookie, we have the William M. Jennings Trophy that was presented to Ed Belfour for his posting the fewest goals against, with this his first of four won during his career. At 11” in height and featuring a metal bowl with mounted goaltender placed over a tiered, 6” wooden base, brown felt has been placed on the underside of the base, with a sticker from maker “Boffey” affixed. Offered as originally presented with no attached engraved plaque, one listing “Ed Belfour” along with the trophy’s name, team and year awarded will accompany from Boffey. The winners presentation card with “Ed Belfour” will accompany, along with the original black cardboard trophy box with affixed NHL decal (8 ½” x 8 ½” x 15”). A signed LOA from Ed Belfour is also included.
There is an even layer of oxidation/tarnishing to the trophy along with a few scratches visible at the reverse of the bowl, with no big dents or unsightly marks. There is also light wear to the accompanying box and affixed decal.
